From the entry into force of this decision: a) The installation and commissioning of lifts that do not meet the requirements of the provisions of the joint ministerial decision No. Φ9.2/Οικ.32803/1308/1997 (ΦΕΚ 815/Β/97), which incorporated Directive 95/16/ΕΚ, for lifts installed from 1.7.1999, is prohibited.
b) In addition to the current provisions on elevators, special provisions and regulations concerning the installation and operating conditions of elevators that are in force or as will be in force from time to time, in the Building Regulations, in the Fire Protection Regulations of Buildings, in the safety and protection measures for workers in elevators, in the Internal Electrical Installations Regulations (EEI), as replaced by the ELOT HD 384 standard 2nd edition/4.3.2004 in accordance with ministerial decision no. Φ.7.5/1816/88 (Government Gazette 470/Β/04), are mandatory.
c) The provisions on the classification of electrical and mechanical installations, the provisions on the protection of professional rights for the preparation and signing of the elevator design, the installation, supervision and maintenance of any type of elevator are mandatorily applied, as they are in force at each time.
d) The provisions concerning the basic safety requirements of the shafts, the cabin, the machine room, if any, and the access to it, as defined in the joint ministerial decision No. Φ9.2/οικ.32803/1308/1997 ((ΦΕΚ 815/Β/97), are mandatorily applied by the competent authorities, when issuing the building permit for the building.
